Designed by Sir Nick Faldo with strategic play in mind this 6578m Par 72 championship course demands careful positioning to score well.
Designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr., this course complements the neighbouring Faldo Course and also takes full advantage of being situated in a fertile valley.
The 9 hole Academy course is the only floodlit 9 hole golf course in Portugal.

With 16 years’ experience running golf events in the UK and Europe, the British Junior Golf Tour decided to run a larger international event in Europe in 2020. Unfortunately, this had to be put on hold, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, we have partnered with the team at Amendoeira Golf Resort to bring you our first World Junior Golf Championship.

In our inaugural year (2023), we are hoping to attract up to 220 of the best players from around Europe and the rest of the World, and, as we grow, make the WJGC one of the largest and most prestigious Junior Golf tournaments to be played on European soil.

The big day is here, good luck everyone!
